Nickel and vanadium are contaminants in crude oil which create problems in the cracking processes through poisoning of active catalyst sites in the case of nickel, and destruction of the catalyst in the case of vanadium. Antimony pentoxide is a proven performer for nickel passivation in FCC processes, they can passivate heavy metals like Nickel, Vanadium, suitable for FCC processes in oil refining industry, inhibit Nickel or Vanadium poisoning the catalysts.
We provide additives for the passivation of nickel and vanadium in FCC processes. Our small particle product, FCC627, is an excellent choice for your nickel passivation requirements. FCC650 is a higher concentration product with a somewhat larger particle size and provides better economics through reduced shipping costs.

STORAGE AND HANDLING
FCC passivation –Antimony pentoxide should be stored in a cool dry area. Shelf life is guaranteed for one year. Mixing in the drum may be necessary if the product is stored for an extended amount of time. See the Safety Data Sheet for specific handling recommendations. Please note that these products should be protected from freezing. Should the product freeze, thaw the material and remix before use.
